La fantasía medieval "Juego de tronos" lideró las nominaciones a los codiciados premios Emmy, los Óscar de la televisión estadounidense, y competirá en septiembre en 24 categorías.

La historia de los siete reinos fue nominada, entre otros rubros, a Mejor serie dramática, donde se las verá con "Better Call Saul" --el "spin-off" de "Breaking Bad--, "Downton Abbey", "Homeland", "House of Cards", "Orange is the New Black" y "Mad Men", que terminó de emitir a principios de año su última temporada.

"American Horror: Freak Show", cuarta temporada de la serie de terror, llegó en segundo lugar con 19 nominaciones, seguida de "Olive Kitteridge" con 13.

En la categoría de mejor serie de comedia, los nominados fueron "Louie", "Modern Family", "Parks and Recreation", "Silicon Valley", "Transparent", "Veep" y "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt".

Los premios Emmy se entregarán en Los Ángeles el 20 de septiembre.
